Arts & Education

Community & Cultural Programs

  • 500 Tibetan literacy workbooks produced for elderly refugees who never attended school

  • Facilitated Tibetan elders’ Carnegie Hall performance with Grammy-nominated Tenzin Choegyal (2017)
  • Funded Gangjong Doeghar, the oldest Tibetan performing arts institution in exile
“I never went to school. I never learned to read. But with the workbook they gave us, I can now read prayers on my own for the first time in my life. At 76, I finally feel like I can stand on my own.”
— Tsering Dolkar, 76, New York
Language & Technology

— Tsultrim Lodoe, Sera Monastery, India
Digital Preservation

Conserve Tibet

  • 36 recordings spanning 60 years (1953–2013) digitized and preserved
  • Rescued the only known audio of Khunu Lama Rinpoche (1974)
