Producing original Tibetan-language children's media to nurture mother-tongue fluency in the next generation

Tibetan children growing up in diaspora had barely any Tibetan-language music available — and pretty much no animated videos, the format kids actually love. Terma Studio was created to fill that gap.
We research old Tibetan folk songs — tracing their original tunes and lyrics — then professionally recreate them for a new generation. Songs are recorded and mixed at VajraStudios in Kathmandu, Nepal, with young singers from the Tibetan Lhamo Association of Nepal and musicians like Pema Wangdi Lama.
Each song becomes a 3D animated music video released under the Pema Play label on YouTube. 18 songs are in production — giving Tibetan children joyful, authentic ways to hear, enjoy, and learn their own musical heritage.
